The work that you do is essential. It can also be incredibly difficult.

As helping professionals, you have dedicated your career to supporting, protecting, and caring for others. You often work in high-stress, high-pressure workplaces and the things you see and hear can be traumatic.

Over time, this work can have a profound effect on your well-being. You may experience burnout, empathic strain, or secondary traumatic stress.

The CARE4YOU Conference is an opportunity for you to refuel. Join us for this free event and learn best practices to care for yourself while caring for others.

About CARE4YOU

The first TEND conference was held in 2011 in Kingston, ON, Canada. The Compassion Fatigue Conference was one of the first conferences specifically crafted to address the realities of compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma in helping professions.

Over the years, the conference continued to grow and attract helping professionals from diverse backgrounds and professions. In 2014, the conference was renamed to CARE4YOU – The conference that cares for those who care for others.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CARE4YOU was hosted as a virtual event for the first time in 2020. In 2021, we decided to offer this event at no cost as a way to give back to our communities.

At CARE4YOU, we explore the individual and organizational impacts of high-stress, trauma-exposed work.

Have you ever wondered –

  • How to stay well while doing difficult work?
  • What makes trauma-exposed work unique?
  • What role the organization plays in preventing or mitigating burnout?
  • How to support your team during times of crisis?
CARE4YOU is the conference for you.
